OUR BICYCLES

It is with pride that we can talk about our incomparable fleet of bicycles, maybe the best fleet for bike trips in Argentina. Years of experience traveling over the roads and trails of Patagonia have taught us what works and what doesn’t, and with time we’ve chosen the ideal bikes for our region. Our fleet of 75 bicycles is made up entirely of world-class brands, both for the frames as for each component. This number of bikes assures plenty of avalability and variety in sizes for every tour, so that we always have the correct bike available for every guest. Anibal Marasi, founder and owner of Dirty Bikes, has chosen each bike model we offer, and has tried out each bike we own in thorough test rides, ensuring great working condition. Our strict maintenance program involves a continuous care of the bicycles, as well as complete turnover of the entire fleet every four years. This assures that every customer will receive a bike in perfect working conditions, as well as immaculate appearance. Comfortable, agile and safe, our bikes will allow you to enjoy your vacation, and to pedal at the pace and speed you choose.

For our 2008-2009 season, we have purchased new road bikes, custom-designed for Dirty Bikes by Merida Bikes. The specifications are specific for the mountains and hills found in our region and our tours. Expert road riders in Argentina have also rigorously tested these new bikes.

At the beginning of every outing, we fit bikes with each guest, making all necesary adjustments. The bikes will be previously prepared and assigned according to the indications we have received before our guests’ arrival. We will also fit pedals, seats and other necessary accesories. During the bike fitting, you will have the chance to go out on a test ride, and assure a perfect ride.

The bikes will have your name on the frame, so that you will never be confused about which one is yours. Helmets are typically considered a very personal (and very important) accesory, and most guests generally choose to bring their own. But we will gladly provide you with a quality helmet, if so required.

Throughout the tour, our Tour Leaders will check the bikes every day, making sure everything is in the best condition. Flat tires, loose cables, brake pads – anything that needs to be re-fitted or changed will be done, so that our guests never have to worry.

All of our bikes include the following accessories:

  • Hand pump, inner tube(s), allen keys and tire repair kit
